Key Responsibilities
As an HVAC Technician, you’ll deliver mechanical and electrical HVAC services across a variety of building assets.
- Deliver top-notch mechanical and electrical HVAC services for both planned and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance to meet contractual KPIs and prescribed standards.
- Apply your skills to minor capex work and, as the team grows, project work.
- Perform fault-finding and problem-solving to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Work efficiently and unsupervised when required, while still being a reliable team player.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities on a rotating roster (scheduled in advance and compensated accordingly).
- Drive to sites across the Rodney and Waitakere districts, maintaining a high level of service throughout.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for someone with the right qualifications, proven experience, and a proactive approach to their work.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum EST certification (EWRB would be advantageous).
- New Zealand Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning – Trade (Level 4).
- At least 3-5 years of work experience, with proven experience in installation of split systems ideal, and technical response and maintenance work essential.
- A commitment to upholding the highest health and safety standards.
- Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive approach to work, taking the lead when needed.
- A full Class 1 driver’s licence (this role requires driving from site to site across the Rodney and Waitakere district).
- In accordance with the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Schedule
- Primary Schedule:Â Monday to Friday
- On-Call:Â Rotating roster (scheduled in advance, compensated accordingly)
