Key Responsibilities
As a Landscape Leading Hand, you will be a key on-site leader, directly responsible for the hands-on delivery and team performance. Your core duties will include:
- Leading and supervising a team on-site to ensure the successful delivery of hardscape and softscape landscape construction projects, working closely with the Foreman.
- Championing a safe working environment with a Zero Harm approach, ensuring strict adherence to all OHS and environmental requirements.
- Monitoring construction progress against program, ensuring work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Motivating and managing the performance of labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to build a high-performing, delivery-focused team culture.
- Applying your practical industry experience to solve problems, maintain attention to detail, and drive efficient project outcomes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this leadership role, you must have a solid foundation in commercial landscaping and proven supervisory skills. The essential requirements are:
- Demonstrated industry experience as a site supervisor or leading hand in commercial-scale landscaping.
- A strong understanding of OHS and environmental site requirements.
- Proven people and performance management skills to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Previous relevant experience working on hardscape and softscape projects is strongly desired.
