Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laundry duties to high standards, ensuring residents’ personal clothing and facility linens are clean, fresh, and returned promptly.
  • Follow infection control and hazardous substances protocols to maintain a safe environment.
  • Contribute to continual improvement processes within the laundry department.
  • Apply high standards of cleaning techniques to all laundry tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a self-motivated approach, managing time effectively.
  • Ensure residents’ clothing is handled with care and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of infection control and hazardous substances required.
  • Awareness of continual improvement processes.
  • Current First Aid Certificate desirable.
  • Capable of a high standard of cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively as a team member.

  • Reliability and punctuality essential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment screening requirements.

Pre-employment Screening Requirements:

  • Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza).
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Check.
  • Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
