Key Responsibilities
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a key support role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Your primary duties will include:
- Sorting, classifying, and processing all soiled towels, linens, uniforms, and other club textiles with efficiency and care.
- Operating commercial washers and dryers, applying the correct cleaning agents for different fabrics and loads.
- Folding towels, linens, and other items to established standards, ensuring a neat and professional appearance.
- Delivering and stocking clean laundry throughout the club, which involves lifting, carrying, and transporting heavy loads, including up and down several flights of stairs.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the laundry workspace and all equipment.
- Demonstrating a keen focus on service excellence in support of our members, guests, and fellow staff.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and physically capable individual with proven experience. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of previous laundry work experience, with a strong preference for background in a commercial or high-volume setting.
- The physical ability to handle a demanding workload, including frequent lifting, carrying, standing, walking, and stretching for extended periods.
- A proven ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, neatly folded work.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Vancouver location is required for this position.
- Must have full availability for evening shifts (up to 1:00 AM), weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.
