Your Role on the Production Floor
As a Production Technician, you will be a vital part of our plant’s daily success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to manufacture products that meet precise customer specifications.
- Performing routine quality checks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and conducting minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Actively participating in overall plant facilities work, assisting with various jobs on the floor to support team goals.
- Strictly following all company safety protocols, including lockout tag-out procedures, to ensure a secure work environment for everyone.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate production records, work-in-process logs, and inputting maintenance work orders into our digital system (BPMS).
- Cross-training on different machines and positions to increase your versatility and contribute to plant flexibility.
- Adhering to and supporting our food packaging safety program (FSSC), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and 5S standards for organization and housekeeping.
- Collaborating with your team, which may include training assistant operators and switching duties as needed to meet production schedules.
What We Require for This Role
To join our team, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Physical capability to perform the job, including the ability to sit, stoop, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including overtime and weekends as required by production needs.
- Comfort working in a dynamic manufacturing setting with seasonal temperature variations, operating machinery, and industrial vehicle traffic.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with touch-screen interfaces for machine operation and data entry.
