Your Role as a Production Lead
In this key position on third shift, you will be responsible for the efficient and quality-driven output of your production line. Your core duties will include:
- Operating and overseeing corrugated printing and production equipment to maintain a steady workflow and meet production targets.
- Conducting meticulous quality checks on finished boxes, verifying precise dimensions and ensuring zero material defects before product moves forward.
- Leading your machine crew through complex setups, changeovers, and daily operational tasks.
- Proactively troubleshooting mechanical issues and solving problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Ensuring strict adherence to all company safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety within your crew.
- Completing accurate and timely production reports, including data on output, downtime, and quality metrics.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
The Foundation for Success
Basic Qualifications We Require:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A proven strong safety background and a reliable attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example.
- Willingness and ability to work third shift, including required overtime and weekends.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to be a clear, effective communicator.
Preferred Skills That Set You Apart:
- Previous hands-on experience operating corrugated printing or finishing equipment.
- Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding of variable conditions like temperature and production volume.
Physical and Environmental Note:
- This role requires the ability to work in a manufacturing setting where temperatures and work volumes can vary.
