Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in the complete linen processing cycle, ensuring quality and efficiency from start to finish.
- Receive, sort, and record all incoming soiled linen, identifying any damaged items for review.
- Safely operate industrial washers, dryers, and folding equipment, selecting the correct programs for different fabric types.
- Inspect linen at each stage of processing (washing, ironing, folding) to maintain our high-quality standards.
- Accurately fold, pack, and prepare clean linen orders for dispatch, ensuring correct handling of customer-owned items.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace, adhering strictly to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
We are looking for a physically fit and dependable individual who takes pride in their work.
- A reliable, hardworking attitude with the ability to work efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and teamwork.
- Physical fitness to perform the role, including standing for long periods and safely lifting heavy loads of linen.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry or similar environment is an advantage, but on-the-job training will be provided.
