Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Control Technician, your careful work directly impacts our reputation for excellence. You will:
- Inspect aluminum extrusions thoroughly, identifying any surface issues like scratches, dents, or twists.
- Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that every dimension matches the customer’s specifications.
- Accurately document all your inspection findings, maintaining clear and organized records.
- Check routing tags and part counts to ensure the correct materials are moving through production.
- Communicate any quality concerns you find promptly and clearly to supervisors and machine operators.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe, following all established protocols.
- Actively participate in team efforts to find better ways to maintain and improve our quality standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable individuals who value accuracy. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:
- A strong, natural attention to detail and a genuine commitment to producing quality work.
- The ability to learn how to use standard measuring tools; prior experience is a bonus, but we provide training.
- The physical capability to stand for your full shift and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds when needed.
- Solid basic math skills and comfort with simple computer tasks for record-keeping.
- Excellent attendance is crucial we’re counting on you to be part of the team.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude where you support your colleagues and work toward common goals.
- Experience in a quality control, inspection, or general manufacturing role is helpful, but your willingness to learn is what matters most.
