Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptionally high level of customer service to all guests via face-to-face, written, and phone communication in Japanese (English knowledge is a plus).
- Retail outdoor tours and camps, creating reservations or bookings for customers.
- Respond to all guest enquiries and queries in a timely and friendly manner including email, phone, and face-to-face.
- Monitor the reception desk and greet guests at the front concierge.
- Perform opening and closing duties of the office.
- Handle cash and credit card payments for tours.
- Maintain a clean and safe reception environment through daily cleaning and maintenance of guest services facilities.
- Work both autonomously at solo desk locations and at fast-paced team desk locations with flexibility.
- Provide information to guests about Evergreen products and services, transport, the Hakuba area, and the northern Japanese alps.
- Make and complete lesson and tour bookings via all avenues of customer contact through phone call, e-mail, text message, or in-person reservation.
- Notify management if there are any risks to safety or hazards that need immediate attention.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service in Japanese (English is a plus).
- Experience in retail, reservations, or customer service preferred.
- Friendly, warm, and well-informed about the local area and activities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
