This is an entry level to intermediate role where you will learn on the job, performing tasks such as machine tending, visual sorting, packing, and material movement using pallet jacks. Key Responsibilities

• Machine Tending: Tend to machines during production runs, ensuring they are operating correctly and addressing basic issues as they arise.
• Product Handling: Handle products throughout the production process, moving items safely and efficiently between workstations.
• Visual Sorting: Perform visual sorting of products to identify defects or irregularities, ensuring only quality items move forward.
• Packing Operations: Pack finished products according to specifications, preparing them for storage or shipment.
• Material Movement: Use pallet jacks to move materials and products within the work area, keeping workstations stocked and organized.
• Following Directions: Follow demonstrated directions and verbal instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall workplace safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Trade training is a plus.
• Minimum of two to three years of experience in a similar production or laborer role.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions effectively.
• Able to work independently once trained.
• Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using overhead and jib cranes.
• Experience with lift machinery such as forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to talk, stoop, hear, and use fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time, estimated at eight to ten hours per day.
• Ascending and descending stairs and or ladders.
• Work in moderate manufacturing noise levels; ability to hear and respond to instructions in loud areas.
• Occasionally work in spaces with noise up to 100 dB with company provided ear protection.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• May be exposed to dust, irritants, electrical, mechanical, power equipment, and heat hazards.
• Occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds.
• Possible travel and working around others.
