 Key Responsibilities

As the backbone of our rural delivery service, your day will start early and be filled with purpose. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating a delivery ute to transport mail, parcels, and newspapers along designated rural routes.
  • Ensuring all items are delivered accurately and efficiently, regardless of the conditions.
  • Loading and unloading your vehicle securely and maintaining accurate delivery records.
  • Interacting with customers in a friendly, professional manner, representing our family business with pride.
  • Strictly adhering to all health, safety, and NZ Post policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

To ensure the safety and reliability of this essential service, the successful candidate must have:

  • A valid New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to pass compulsory police vetting and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • A committed and reliable attitude for early morning starts at 2:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a courteous, professional demeanour.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness, capable of safely lifting and carrying parcels up to 25kg.
  • Familiarity with or an aptitude for navigating rural roads; local area knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
