Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Cleaner, you will be the cornerstone of our facility’s cleanliness and a key leader within the team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example by performing cleaning duties to the highest aged care standard, ensuring a clean and homely environment for our residents.
- Mentoring, encouraging, and positively leading the cleaning team to achieve excellence in all tasks.
- Assisting with the ‘on-boarding’ and training of new cleaning personnel.
- Acting as the key liaison between the Facility Manager and the cleaning team to ensure clear communication and efficient operations.
- Using all equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with training methods, with a strong focus on infection control principles.
Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive and reliable professional with the following attributes:
- Extensive previous cleaning experience, ideally within a health care or aged care setting.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising a team is highly valued.
- A high attention to detail and knowledge of infection control principles.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Full Australian working rights and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance.
