Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be integral to the smooth running of our kitchen, with key duties including:

  • Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard, ensuring every plate meets our specifications.
  • Supporting the Head Chef and kitchen team in daily mise en place, service, and kitchen operations.
  • Maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and organisation in your section, adhering to all food safety protocols.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and efficient team environment during busy service periods.
  • Receiving and checking stock deliveries, ensuring correct storage and rotation to minimise waste.
  • Following all recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified cook who brings both skill and the right attitude to our brigade. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A formal Trade Qualification, specifically a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in a similar à la carte or high-volume kitchen environment.
  • A solid, practical understanding of HACCP and Food Safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding these standards.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform reliably under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both unsupervised and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Full availability to work a flexible, rotating roster that includes nights, weekends, and split shifts as required.
  • A commitment to a minimum of 38+ hours per week.
