Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you’ll be key to keeping our projects moving. Your core duties will involve:
- Safely operating our Class 5 truck to transport materials and equipment between and across various project sites.
- Supporting project delivery by competently operating other site machinery as required, going beyond just driving duties.
- Assisting with the careful loading and securing of materials before transport and the efficient unloading upon arrival.
- Conducting thorough pre-start checks and performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure all vehicles and equipment are in safe, working order.
- Working closely with the site crew to maintain a safe, efficient workflow, especially when operating near other machinery, structures, or underground services.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused professional with the right foundation. You’ll need:
- A current, full New Zealand Class 5 Driver’s Licence with WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsements.
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience in civil construction or a similar field is highly preferred.
- A proactive, solution-focused attitude and a strong drive to support your teammates to get the job done right.
- An unwavering commitment to quality and safety in every task you undertake.
- A good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
- Reliability and a passion for the hands-on nature of civil construction work.
