Key Responsibilities

In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of inventory and supplies. Your attention to detail will ensure smooth operations. Key duties include:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and unpacking all incoming inventory for quality and quantity.
  • Accurately labeling items and placing them in the correct storage areas, managing stock rotation.
  • Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Filling requisitions, preparing items for delivery, and processing orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintaining precise computerized and manual records for all inventory transactions.
  • Conducting regular physical inventory counts to reconcile records and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all storage and work areas are kept clean, orderly, and secure at all times.

Qualifications

We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic. The minimum qualifications are:

  • Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
  • Plus, one of the following:
  • Two or more years of experience maintaining inventory items and related records.
  • Equivalent education from an accredited college or university (30 credit hours = 1 year of experience).
  • The ability to work directly within a correctional facility and follow all security protocols is essential.
