Key Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of inventory and supplies. Your attention to detail will ensure smooth operations. Key duties include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and unpacking all incoming inventory for quality and quantity.
- Accurately labeling items and placing them in the correct storage areas, managing stock rotation.
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Filling requisitions, preparing items for delivery, and processing orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Maintaining precise computerized and manual records for all inventory transactions.
- Conducting regular physical inventory counts to reconcile records and identify discrepancies.
- Ensuring all storage and work areas are kept clean, orderly, and secure at all times.
Qualifications
We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic. The minimum qualifications are:
- Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- Plus, one of the following:
- Two or more years of experience maintaining inventory items and related records.
- Equivalent education from an accredited college or university (30 credit hours = 1 year of experience).
- The ability to work directly within a correctional facility and follow all security protocols is essential.
