Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the operator and guardian of our robotic welding process, ensuring top-tier quality and efficiency. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, operating, and performing routine maintenance on robotic welding cells, including programming paths and adjusting welding parameters.
- Loading and unloading materials, positioning fixtures, and clamping parts according to detailed blueprints and work instructions.
- Visually inspecting welds for quality, checking for proper penetration, bead consistency, and dimensional accuracy.
- Monitoring the welding process, diagnosing minor issues, and performing troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Strictly adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Accurately documenting work performed and collaborating proactively with team leads and other departments.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic. The ideal profile includes:
- Prior hands-on experience with manual or semi-automatic welding processes (MIG or TIG).
- Familiarity with robotic programming software; basic knowledge for modifying existing programs is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and basic math skills.
- The physical stamina for a plant environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs (with assistance) and performing a range of motions.
- A self-driven, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
