Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the backbone of our workshop, ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance. Your key duties will include:
- Performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks on equipment frames, parts, and structural components.
- Carrying out essential maintenance and repair work on a range of heavy industrial cleaning equipment.
- Safely operating and maintaining various welding tools and machinery, including gas cutters, arc welders, and plasma cutters.
- Conducting basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, such as fixing wiring, replacing connectors, and changing fuses.
- Ensuring every task is completed in strict compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is both qualified and has a strong work ethic. The ideal fit will possess:
- A minimum of a Nitec or Professional Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Welder, with a strong preference for backgrounds in an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
- Solid, hands-on skills in using gas cutters, welding machines, and plasma cutters.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and a reliable, team-oriented attitude.
